Import your Google Maps reviews Soon

This feature arrives during the testing phase of the app. This page explains how it will work.

Step 1: ask Google for your export

On takeout.google.com, choose only the Google Maps data (your places and your reviews), then create the export. Google prepares it and tells you when it is ready. It can take a while.

Step 2: pick the file in Mazyo

In the app, pick the archive you got from Google. Mazyo reads it directly on your iPhone.

Step 3: check and import

You see the list of places that were found before importing. The ones Mazyo cannot find stay listed so you can search for them by hand.

What happens to your file

• The file is read on your iPhone. Only simple fields go to our servers: the name and address of the place, its coordinates, the rating, the date and the text of the review if it was published.
• Places are found with Apple Maps, by name and coordinates, because the Google export does not contain a place identifier.
• Your imported reviews are private by default. You can show them to your friends with one tap.
• An imported review earns no points, no badge and no referral reward.
